I haven't had much luck getting Maypole installed without mod_perl.
Some time ago Simon removed the reqirement for Apache::Request so that
Maypole could be installed without it. Apache::Request is only
required for mod_perl, so there's no need to install it if you're
using CGI::Maypole.
