Re: [Maypole] Distribution Apache/mod_perl Question

Drew you rock!

I've always wondered (always too lazy to search) how to make a debian
package from perl sources, great!

and actually, you and Dave are both right! it's maybe better to build
deb packages for easy administration of systems, but if you alone work
on your laptop, and your laptop is a testing environment for about
anything, i think it's a good exercise to learn CPAN (especially if you
have to use CPAN to get modules installed on Sun machines ;) )

i haven't had any problems with CPAN and debian, i've even already
installed and deleted some packages through CPAN, no trouble at all. But
hey, we're using the best distribution in the world, so did you expect
else? Besides, ppl that use debian, know how to clean their mess up if
their system got fux0red by some pkgmanager or whatever.
Debian should have a warning sticker:
-----------------------------------------
Requirements:
- brains and logic, that's all you need
-----------------------------------------

Cheers guys!
Johnny
