The pages at <http://maypole.simon-cozens.org/> are coded in such a way
that I can't print them. When I try, every web page comes out on a
single paper page. It starts OK and then just continues printing off the
bottom margin. (I use a QMS Magicolor 2200, Debian Woody, Mozilla 1.2.1).
I hacked a rather tedious workaround. I looked at the pages themselves
and they look OK. I looked at the .css and removed 3 lines that say
'position:absolute;'. Now it prints on multiple pages, with acceptably
broken formatting. But that means I have to save every page locally and
edit it to point to my fudged stylesheet.
I don't know whether the problem is the CSS or Mozilla's interpretation
of it but it would be nice if the site could be modified to print
properly (I haven't seen this problem on any other site). Come to think
of it, it would be nice if the manual pages at least didn't have a menu
column down the left hand side (that way, the code examples might fit on
the page :)
Thanks and regards,
Dave Howorth
